Approximately 2 out of 5 Americans believe that their credit score is what’s holding them back from being able to purchase a home. This isn’t necessarily accurate.

Data shows that the median score among all buyers in today’s market is sitting at 775. This completely ignores the fact many people had either higher or lower credit scores than this median. In fact, it is seen that 10% of scores from buyers in recent years were around 660 (though some scores were even lower than that.)
There is NO specified number in the world of lending when it comes to your credit score.
